About Cris Houston


Cris Houston obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance magna cum laude from Hampton University in Hampton, Virgininia.  She is licensed to practice law in Texas and has 10 years of experience in estate planning.


Attorney Houston takes pride in developing a good relationship with her clients, listening to her clients' needs, and working hard to meet her clients' needs. She will take the time to explain your legal rights to you so that you can make the legal decisions that are best for you and your loved ones.  She will always provide the best legal service for you and your loved ones.


Attorney Houston's career as a full-time law professor has spanned a decade thus far.  She is currently an adjunct professor at Prairie View A&M University’s College of Business, where she teaches Business Law courses. She is also currently an adjunct professor at the University of Houston, where she teaches a Special Topics in Law class. She previously served as a law professor and Director of the Legal Writing Program at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law (UDC Law), Florida A&M University College of Law (FAMULAW), and Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Her specialty at these law schools was teaching Legal Writing courses, enabling her to provide expert legal drafting services for you and your loved ones.  


Attorney Houston also worked through the years to help law students prepare for the bar licensing examination that is required in most states for all law graduates to become practicing attorneys in America. She served as the Interim Director of the Academic Success and Bar Preparation Programs at FAMULAW as well as a Bar Passage Task Force Co-Chair and Committee Member at UDC Law. Attorney Houston has also taught undergraduate courses in Criminal Law and Legal Writing at Columbia College of Orlando and University of Arkansas School of Law, respectively.  She is also an expert teacher who can make difficult laws and legal matters easy to understand for her clients.
